I honestly thought this video was about destructive mods that could mess up your Wii.

Ayo, Remix dev here, Really appreciate you checking out and covering the build. Also just to note that we do sometimes have creative liberties when it comes to backports being 1:1 due to console limitations and Pyra and Mythra not transforming was definitely due to that. Very glad you like the build and I appreciate the attention to detail here.

The amount of devs commenting on this video is just proof of how passionate they are about this project

Hi, I'm the developer of the original PM+EX clone engine. After finishing it with the help of pyotr and helping Legacy XP implement it with the rest of the team, I retired from modding. I can't tell you how incredibly happy I am seeing projects like this come forward. It makes me feel like I was able to leave something worth while for the community to use. Essentially we have almost 100% access to brawl now. Music, Stages, Roster expansions, Stages, 1p modes and more! I wanted to allow a framework for everyone to expand and grow on for their own projects. When you can literally make the game into anything you wanted, why settle for revamping the same thing over and over again? I'm happy the community seems more alive with new content than ever, projects like XP and Remix are everything I ever hoped for. New characters and stages are always a lot of fun. I still dust off my wii from time to time and play. It's been exciting watching the community evolve over the last decade.

Sup this is REMIX teams first Founder here, I just wanted to say thanks for covering our game with such high praise, this video really made my day! Not just that but I feel like all the information in this video was really accurate and insightful for potentially new players. Also: Wii is surprisingly stable as far as 0.95 release is concerned 🤣

Hey, one of the REMIX devs here! I'm sure other devs have already mentioned some of these but I just wanted to make a couple notes:
Sora's Sonic Blade actually does have lock on functionality, but the move as a whole is still kind of janky. Iirc, you have to hold B while it's used and not hold any directions for the lock-on to work properly.
As for Pythra not having transformation, the reasoning is kind of a mix of the two- making transformation characters on top of Zelda and Sheik is still difficult/impossible afaik, and it's not worth it anyway given the transformation timing. Using Pokémon Trainer as a base is also infeasible, because you have to have both characters loaded at the same time, which will likely exceed filesize limits and cause the game to crash.
Ryu has Shakunetsu Hadoken on A+B, but otherwise you are correct in that Ryu and Ken don't have command inputs. It's a finicky tech, we're hoping to have it cleaned up eventually but it's just super difficult to work with and we figured the characters were better off without them until command inputs actually felt good to use.
Banjo & Kazooie are getting a total revamp, it was already in progress during 0.95 dev time but could not get finished in time for release.
Hero's other models are coming, we also couldn't get them done in time for release. Hero has an extra spell on one of his actual taunts (not in the down B menu), it was one of the power-boosting ones on up taunt iirc. Crits are pretty easy to implement, we just didn't like them ;)
-v- No. 13, or Nu-13, is from BlazBlue, she mainly got in because the moveset was super well made.
We're glad you like the build! It's still actively in dev, and the next update is sure to impress, even after everything that's already in 0.95.

Well the comments section made me release that this game has an insane amount of developers.
That's kinda cool, so much passion put into a fan project, and it shows, just by how well made it is.

Hello, REMIX dev here! First of all, thank you so much for covering this mod, we really appreciate it and we're so glad you liked it! More characters and stuff are certain to be arriving, like the ones teased at the end of the latest trailer! And for everyone downloading and trying the mod for the first time from here, I hope you have a stellar time with what the pack has to offer :). Also, every bit of info was perfect on this video!

As of what I do on the modpack for the interested, I am in charge of doing recolors! I'm very new so it's very little what they've included from me, as for what it is for now, I did Metal Face's default costume's recolors, some for Fierce Deity (the 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th) and some for Zero (7th, 8th and 9th). More from me will arrive as well!

And finally... yeah it is an absolute instability bomb for Wii, but it does work very very good! Just that it's prone to crashes, so I think the end skit was very appropiate lmfao.

Great video as always Aaron, and once again thank you very much!

Hey! Thanks for making a vid about REMIX with such a high praise! It’s so fun seeing people make videos of characters you’ve worked on!

I play the mod on the Wii, and i totally agree that it's not very recommended, the worst problem of all is that the selection screen runs at 20 fps for so many characters, and look that in the future there will be more characters, as it is confirmed that all characters from Ultimate will be in the mod

And the best part about this is that they’re not done and will be adding way more characters to the mod!

Really glad that Remix is starting to get more attention lately. There's so much care put into the pack and despite how much content there is it's all surprisingly polished and even pretty well balanced for competitive. It's such a rewarding experience to learn the ins and outs of all the new characters and figure out what's good with them all.

Also disclamer the mod actually runs surprisingly well on Wii, that's my primary way of playing and framedrops during matches are rare unless you're on a super detailed stage

"Whoever that is"

That is Nu-13, one of the central players in the BlazBlue fighting game series.

not really a REMIX dev, but some of the things that are in the build, were actually made by me
the most notable ones being Silver and Zack Fair's models

While REMIX isnt recommended for wii, it is perfectly functional, only having occasional random crashes and some laggy stages. I'm a relatively newer REMIX dev, but i only playtest and work on new stuff on wii since my computer isnt the best. Love the vid.
