Coutinho was crazy for us, bought for 8 mills and sold for 150, essentially funding our best years under Klopp

I called this "the Bale effect" when talking abt transfers with mates - after selling him, teams know they can gouge the prices for players like Lamela

De Jong to Ajax was technically 1 euro and was sold for around 80 mil. That might be the best flip ever but took more time and some sell on clause money but still amazing that his transfer fee was 80 million % more then what he was bought for

Caceido should also be in with a shout

The answer has to be Enzo at Benfica. He was bought for about €16m then sold 7 months later for €120m.

I remember demichelis was signed by atletico madrid for free and in the same transfer window, before he even played a single game, they sold him to man city. They only got like 5 million, but it was free money.

They signed Coutinho, gifting Liverpool much needed cash. Many thanks

Inter Milan with Lukaku as well, they paid 73mln pounds, won a scudetto/coppa Italia/supercoppa with him, then sold him to Chelsea for 97.5mln pounds and got him back again for 6mln pounds on a loan. So pretty much squuezed every single penny for him and won bare trophies as well, with perfect timing as well, getting rid of him before his current downfall

Eintracht Frankfurt loaned in Jovic from Benfica for 200k with option to buy for 7 million at the end of the loan spell. Jovic had an amazing second season and Benfica were desesperate. Frankfurt activated the option to buy and the very next day they sold him to Real Madrid for 60 million giving them a profit of 52, 8 million € in less then 24h. Thats the biggest flip i've ever seen.

Dortmund and Benfica are so good in business

Bolton once made 400k in less than a day on Dietmar Hamann after he had a 'change of heart' and signed for (a pre money) Man City instead. Bolton finished 7th, and City finished 14th so a great bit of business really. 😂

Tottenham made even more profit with Bale

Barca shouldn’t have tried to replace Neymar in the same window. It was always going to be utter lunacy. It would’ve made more sense to go light up front for a year and take their time assessing targets.

Dortmund should be champions.
Just imagine Bellingham, Lewandoski, Dembele, Gabriel Jesus, Halaand, Jodan Sancho,
Dortmund is not serious
