I'm a long time computer user/programmer/tinkerer since teh early 90's.
Worked on SCOUnix machines, SUN Sparcs, and the like... but of course was relegated to DOS and Windows on the desktop (Mac's are too trendy and $$$ for this minimalist)

But now... with all the great distros of Linux out there in the wild, you'd be a fool (if you half a computer brain) to stick with Redmond's relegation.
