I appreciate Linus not just saying "get vaccinated idiot" and leaving it at that, and instead going in depth explaining the vaccine. Not an anti-vaxxer, but something that annoyed the hell out of me back when I first heard about the vaccine was when I even had a question about the mRNA stuff was people just getting angry at me for even having questions and saying "just do it", and this is the sentiment I saw in so much media covering the topic too. "It's all myths, just do it." and no real explanation or if there was one it left out details. I get that COVID was a frantic and hectic event and emotions were running high but for a moment I genuinely felt like I was going fucking insane. It took me so long to find a satisfactory answer and I encountered so much bitterness or passive aggressiveness on the way, and Linus was able to summarize that satisfactory answer I had to piece together in a single E-mail.

I find most people as abrasive as Linus insufferable but he really earns it by genuinely knowing what the hell he talks about and actually explaining his points and backing shit up, something that's in short supply in the modern day. So many people like that are just putting on an act, but he's the real deal and I respect the hell outta him.

The guy has gotten flack in the past for being blunt in his criticism, but it's definitely a good thing. Sometimes you need to not sugarcoat your criticism to drive the message home. Have always been a fan of the guy!

So my mother is a microbiologist, having managed a lab at a top-public institution for nearly 20 years. I've learned a lot about the vaccine from her, and his knowledge of the exact mechanism of the mRNA vaccine is commendable, especially for a kernel developer and not a microbiologist. An additional note, the "nano-tech" the vaccine employs is nothing more than a lipid layer that surrounds and protects the mRNA, as well as assisting it in diffusing across the cell membrane. We just don't have the technology to fit anything even close to a tracker into something the size of a hypodermic needle. Love this guy.

I will openly admit that I was vaccine hesitant initially with regards to the mRNA style of vaccines due to ignorance. However after reading several medical journals the evidence was unequivocally positive for mRNA vaccines. Great way to breakdown the benefits. Sometimes people do need this kind of tough love to understand.

Well Linus understands bio mechanics pretty well. One problem is the spike expressors were not supposed to get out of cells but they did and they can malfunction some other stuff in the body.

I am sorry for Linus. But most of his text didn’t age well. From DNA-Contamination to late effects and unexplained susceptibilities, it is not as clear a minimized risk as Linus believes in. The fact is: Nobody knows the risks or can speak for risk reduction.
