LIKE SOMEONE IN LOVE Trailer | New Release 2013

Показать описание
An elderly man becomes entangled with a young Tokyo call girl in this entrancingly elliptical anti-love story from world-renowned auteur Abbas Kiarostami.
Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival 2012
Official Selection, Festival de Cannes 2012
Celebrated Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami has ceaselessly explored the thin boundaries between fiction and "real life," the ways in which role-playing and masquerade can bleed into the real world — and in his new film Like Someone in Love, the sum of deceptions might just equal truth itself. From a crowded Tokyo bar, the beautiful Akiko (Rin Takanashi) — college student by day, high-class call girl by night - is sent to a rendezvous at the house of aged professor Takashi (Tadashi Okuno), who seems more interested in conversation than the expected bedroom interlude. The next morning, Takashi agrees to drive Akiko to school, where the two run into Akiko's jealous, insecure boyfriend (Ryo Kase), who — unaware of her profession — assumes that the elderly john is Akiko's grandfather. Neither bothers to set him straight, and soon they begin playing out their protector/protégé dynamic for real — a mysterious game of mistaken identities that results in a series of strange, and potentially violent, consequences. Brilliantly conceived, shot and paced with masterful control and creating a taut suspense all its own, Like Someone in Love is another superlative film from one of the true masters of contemporary cinema.
