How not to land a glider or how to scare your instructor.

While still being a student, I committed very unconventional landing. I kept nose toward ground and at the last moment I rounded out, what scared a bit my instructor. You can hear very faint "Jesus" coming from behind.

After all I was surprised that the instructor didn't took over controls. Anyway, we safely landed, however that's not the way how you should land! Don't try this at home! ;-)

It's the sign of a really excellent instructor:that he didn't cut in but allowed his student to gain such a valuable lesson!

For a student, that's seriously scary and well done. Hats of to you!

I was more concerned by the skidding turn to final.

I'd have laughed if the instructor said "BEEP BEEP! TERRAIN - PULL UP! BEEP BEEP! TERRAIN - PULL UP!"

Do you know what happened here? I've heard that low light levels can affect your judgment of height above ground.

Any landing you can dig your way out of is a good landing...

I see quite a number of pilots who are scared of the ground and who flare too high.  That is often not a great outcome .

You should never cut things that fine, new pilot or years of experience. Always err on the side of safety .
