Last week I spent 7 days almost completely submerged in nature doing a 188km walk on my own. The finish was the first bit of the civilised world I’d seen in that time and it felt so weird… it seemed to me like everyone was just drones, so disconnected from the real world. I encourage all to spend a minimum of 4-5 days in nature then you will come back and see the trance the modern world is in.

They already have us mate. I'm in my mid 40s and most of everyone my age or younger don't questioned anything! They just do whatever they are told and when that fails they take the pills or drink too much. If we get through the next 10 years without destroying each other it will be a miracle.

I think the reason everything is happening so fluidly, is because the majority of the population are very comfortable with being told what to do and what to buy, who to vote for, how to think etc., it makes them feel secure. We are the minority.

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, I left a stressful job in the music industry. We sold our suburban home of 30 years up north and moved to a homestead in Tennessee. This began the most important positive change in my life. I have a garden and chickens that have been the best therapy I could ask for. I'm in my 60s and I am proof that it's never too late to change your way of life. I've never felt happier, healthier, or stronger than I do now.

I have never had a cell phone and never owned a TV. I am so grateful that I was raise in the wilderness and learned survival from the the toddler stage. I knew a 95 year old woman who lived in a cabin in the mountains total off grid. She had lived there most of her life with her husband who had died 20 years earlier. She was a kind and smart person who was an inspiration to me. We can all live as she did if we want it.
