The dakka jet thing I can totally believe. There may or may not be a canon thing in lore where some guardsmen ran out of ammo, so they took their guns and started shouting BANG. It was actually killing the Orks because they believed the guns were still shooting. Then a group of Orks come over the hill, and the guardsmen can't seem to kill them. They get closer, and the orks are chanting "I'matruck, I'matruck, I'matruck"
