They could even make cameras with the two options; analog and digital, as Kodak claimed years ago, but they did not do what they promised to do. The digital equipment seems priceless and allows them to make the really big money they live for, that is it all.

I got to use 6 negative film packs monthly for my film shooting hobby with my dear Minolta X-700 camera which is 30 years old but runs fine with its powerful flash and lenses.
There is still only one shop in Cairo downtown nearby my house that makes development and paper prints of analog films but at much more prices than ever due to the extreme shortage of the processing chemicals and the suitable printing papers of different sizes.
This is a very sad end of the analog photography activity that resulted from the shut down of the major analog photography equipment production lines worldwide due to massive shift to the use of digital photography that is by no means comparable with the beautiful analog photography.
I have an experience of >30 years in analog photography as a major hobby, and I am like hundreds of millions of analog filming consumers who are angry and do not understand why the managers in those great production analog filming equipment factories have shut down their analog photography business despite the presence of all those customers who always invested in buying their expensive reflex cameras and lenses. This is not fair. This is a simple betrayal of their clients who ever supplied them economic power and allowed then the dominance they enjoy on the marketplace for long decades.

The false claims based on diminishing profits from analog filming materials are not real. The reality is that they made big money through selling the analog film equipment, but they needed to make much greater money with the digital since masses of people who do not know anything about real photography started to shoot pics under the digital cameras found in any simple mobile phone and other digital equipment. Nonetheless, the decision makers in these production lines if they were really clever enough they were to continue their lines of analog filming production line with starting their development in the digital photo lines. This is a hard lesson that reveals the heads of the greatest worldwide companies are not wise enough nor cleaver enough.
