Just did this trip last week. My family thought the hundred jeeps we saw was hilarious. We had a mini van and it was fine. You don’t need a Jeep. The road is narrow but it’s paved the entire way. It’s a beautiful drive but be prepared for a long day as it will be a slow drive.

My husband and I did that drive in June 1988. It was a beautiful drive to the seven sacred pools. We loved Maui the best. 🌴

Yes that is an awesome road trip. Slot of places to stop along the way. On our honeymoon we found some remote and secluded swimming holes. We even got to do some honeymoon skinny-dipping. What fun...

Yay!!!! You used gypsy guide!!! My husband and I used that on our trip and always recommend it to everyone who goes to Maui. It’s a game changer. Gypsy guide has also done multiple other national parks and popular drives even Yosemite and Sequoia. Come back to CA and try your trip again with the guide. The fires have cleared up and the falls are in full flow again. May is a much better month to see Yosemite.

We have been so busy prepping for our full time travels and hustling *hears the song* that I have slacked on watching some of my favorite creators like y'all that helped encourage me that my forever dream was not that crazy.
