Owner's full review after 4500 KM: The 2023 Range Rover L460

The new Range Rover P510e is a formidable large luxury SUV. I have driven it over the last 2 ½ months and 4,500 KM – here is my honest in-depth review of it.

At first glance, you can tell that the P510e is a Range Rover, thanks to its iconic design and muscular yet elegant proportions. But what sets this model further apart is that it is a PHEV – a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

With 510 HP system output you are never short of power. As you step inside the cabin, you are greeted by a luxurious and sophisticated interior that is synonymous with the Range Rover brand. The premium materials and craftsmanship are evident everywhere, from the leather seats to the wood veneer trim.

This new 2023 Range Rover comes equipped with all the latest technology and plenty of advanced safety features. The P510e also comes as close to being an environmentally friendly option as a large PHEV comes - with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that can travel up to 113 KM on electric power alone.

Now, the elephant in the room is of course the questions of quality and reliability of the Range Rover - and yes, there were a couple of issues. See this video and see for yourself!

In conclusion, the 2023 Range Rover P510e is a great combination of practicality, power, luxury, and sustainability. It can handle any terrain while providing exceptional comfort and convenience for its occupants.

Finally a review from someone who has spent some time with the car. I've had the same Rage Rover at home for 2 months in Autobiography configuration. I have 5500 km on it. Incredibly specific car. I had the penultimate version of the Mercedes S before this car and the comfort is far superior. Great seats and wonderful smell of leather in the interior. Unfortunately technically as mentioned in the review it is weaker. Confused infotainment, it froze several times and only turning off the engine and locking the car helped. Completely unnecessary I got the screens for the back seats. They are large, unsightly and my son has banged his head on their sharp edges several times. And if you think you can play, for example, a movie recorded on a flash drive on them, there you are wrong. They only work through a connected phone via hdmi cable. I absolutely don't get it! One last thing, due to the comfortable seats in the back a completely small rear luggage compartment. If I may recommend avoid the infotainment in the rear seats and the comfort seat in the back. Completely impractical and unnecessarily expensive.
As for rear seat space, another disappointment. When compared to the last GLE model where I can comfortably put my leg over. But I understand JLR also wants to sell an extended version of the range rover.
But otherwise the car is GREAT.
Thank you

That's a quality review. Most channels with 1 hour usage and maybe not even that much are promoting the cars as another product in the supermarket. They can't event talk about negative things because they didn't use the cars. That's what I noticed when I watched the video, ne negative things no matter how smaller they are.
I'll definitely subscribe to the channel. It's clearly a quality one. 👍

It’s a nice review, it’s nice to get a review without the stupid jokes and innuendos in it but seriously he’s been out four or five times in the car. How can I give a real review?

As an owner of a 2023 RR, and 2023 RRS, i absolutely love my fullsize with the 3.0 I6. This is coming from soneone who owned a 21 Lexus LX570 Sport. I have 15k miles on my RR and have loved every mile i have put on it.

Issues i have had are low coolant light that has come on twice, and screws i have been picking up on my optional 23" tires. Also, the rear armrest latch doesn't work for which i have already received a letter from LR USA. Other than that extremely long OCIs which i am not a fan of...

I greatly appreciate your candid review video; it proves to be significantly more valuable in contrast to the reviews provided by other YouTubers.

5:40 oh my! Look at the amount of finger prints. That would drive me nuts!! I love RRs (dream garage is an RR and a Vanquish S), but they are skewing away of their identity into just another fancy SUV bring back the chunky buttons found in the L322, the ones Jeremy Clarkson said are design to be used with gloves!

I like his calm voice and informative review. I'm based in Canada and despite so many people driving around in range rovers here it has really bad reliability issues. A number of owners have experienced problems.

What a very good review. It's interesting that you seem to place it against the german limos - i agree with that as they are on my shortlist too.

Very pleasant presentation. I love the fact you talked about the financial status of the JLR.
That said, comparing the Q7 to the full-size Range Rover is hilariously wrong. ( 19:43 ) You can easily compare the Q7 to the Range Rover Sport.

If you pull the climate tset knob once, you can adjust the auto airflow intensity (1-5). A second pull will allow you to adjust manual blower (1-7).

I will probably pick-up one of these, and trade in my L405, in about 3 - 4 years after the facelift comes out thereby further depreciated the current model L460.

What are your experiences in terms of fuel consumption on longer trips by the way?

I took a 2024 Range Rover Sport and it works perfectly; navigation; the electronics have never failed at all; nothing has failed anywhere; it’s already an updated version and it’s gorgeous; don’t even think about buying a car; it won’t compare to any car I’ve owned.
