Today we elucidate the fall of the 10th Legion of the Adeptus Astartes: The Iron Hands.

The most technologically sophisticated of the Loyalist Legions, the Iron 10th would persevere despite the loss of their Primarch: Ferrus Manus and their decimation at the Istvaan 5 Dropsite Masscare.

Bolstered with the technologies of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Sons of Medusa and their successor Chapters apply their anger and cold reason to decimate their enemies!

Two elements differentiate the Iron Hands from any other legion: Sorrowful Grief, and Implacable Might. They follow a calculation, always ready to complete a primary objective for the Imperium. Kind of sad how the legion fell into hatred for their own flesh for a while because of their sorrow and grief, although its nice to see them back on track in the lore.

I love how the Iron Hands Legion have a striking resemblance to a weapon and a calibration process of a machine as they had to be reforge and remake countless times in order to make them more better. And also some of their leader still remember the true wish of Ferrus.

There was so much lore here that I didn't even know existed for this legion. I always just thought of them as boring cyborgs but the doctrine wars was interesting. However you did leave out one interesting fact about the fractured survivors of Istvaan. They rebuilt a robotic version of Ferrus Manus using his beheaded body and tried to use it to unify the remnants of the massacre. Vulkan was disgusted when he saw it and smashed it to pieces.

From the short story Grey Talon, a quote from an Iron Father to an aspirant prior to the latter's trials:
"Pass the gate, and your trials will be eternal. You will be Sorgul. None will own you but us. When you learn secrets, you will never share them. You will fight alone. You will take no allies. We are the Iron Tenth and we are alone. Outside this place is weakness, we alone are strong. You will never trust. You will never dilute your strength by fighting alongside another who is not of Medusa. We are the Iron Tenth. We alone are strong."
This struck me as epitomizing the Iron Hands mindset.

It's amazing to me how these guys are still loyalist. Their infatuation with mechanical and emotional "perfection" have a very Slaaneshi vibe, in my opinion. Which is a very cool similarity to their former allies, the Emperor's Children. Great video!!!

Criminally underrated legion/chapter. And probably some of the most batshit crazy loyalists, save perhaps the Death Company (and that's only a few marines, whereas all Iron Hands are nuts!)

Love the Iron Hands them and the Iron Warriors don't get enough love in the lore of 40K. The White Scars got alot of love in the Heresy and Seige series as did the Blood Angels and Imperial Fists. Iron Warriors, Emperor's Children, Thousand Sons, DeathGuard all got love as well.for the traitors.

Gosh this is why the Iron Hands are my favourite chapter, doesn't matter how bad it gets. The Moirea Schism, the Sapphire King? Unlike the extremely dramatic Dark Angels, the Iron Hands just get on with it and do better.

Ferrus needs to make a comeback as he did in the siege of terra during HH, like have the Iron hand be almost annihilated and then have BigE revive him in Legion of the Damned form to save his sons
