Thanks for breaking this down. Easy to see the weight and different gear setups. I’m not ultralight but always like seeing where I can save weight.
Great video

Thank you for this great video, Kevin. I learned a lot about gears. It will be helpful in my El Camino trip next year. Although I won't sleep in a tent, I still have to pack other stuff.

Nice base weight.
My comfy base weight with tent, tent stakes, ground sheet, sleeping quilt, sleeping pad Nemo tensor all season, and backpack is 5.84lbs. I’m a cold sleeper even in the summer, so I also have a sleeping bag liner, if I’m too hot at night, I just use the liner. My tent is the Zpacks plex solo ( haven’t used it yet). My total weight with clothes, first aid and cooking gear, and electronics is 11lbs. That’s my summer weight with some winter clothing also, just incase and some comfy items. My pillow is my buff with my puffy stuffed inside, so no additional weight. I like to thru hike early spring into summer.

I need an ultralight tent that is super easy to set up and take down.
