My Basic Ultralight outfit and gear remains the same for one night or weeks. Only real weather and clothing concerns is the rain, it's warm to hot most of the time. Actually a nice rain feels quite good. For me the items that change according to the length of the trip is the amount of food and medications. I 'm in the habit of leaving a spare set of clean clothes in the vehicle for after the trip. When checking into a motel it helps if you have a reasonably clean appearance.

the enlightenment quilt I have is like a hybrid. I can make it into a mummy type bag and then open it up and make it a quilt.

Your meals sound delicious! They also sound (smell) like they would be ringing the dinner bell for the Grizzly Bears! 😂 Enjoy!

Love your videos! Been binging backpacking video's right befor going on a 4 day hike in the French Vosges. One thing that's been a bit of a thing with this video.. it made me so carsick.. and in one shot somewhere in the middle I see a tripod behind you!!! channel your inner weatherman and try to do a presenter like set up? It would make my stomach so happy and to be honest, I think it would make a video like this more professional. Channel your inner weatherman, and make inserts after talking. You can do that relatively quick and makes for a more visually interesting and calmer video! Cheers! And again, thanks for making all the content you make!

I was really hoping to see a little bit about how you pack and fit it all in your bag. Including the camera gear hahaha.

I rented some gear for car camping before, but I really want to start going deeper into the woods and I need to carry my camera gear (1 body, 1-3 lenses, couple filters, batteries and tripod) for my landscape photography. I know I can fit my gear in some of that smaller inserts, but I'm very puzzled about how to pack and carry it.

Canister: Bear Vault. Jet Boil MiniMo rocks! With the regulator it uses less fuel. Quilt, summer. Western Mountaineering, snow.

There’s a reason they use mummy bags in the coldest places on earth like climbing in the Himalayas or the arctic.

I have the JetBoil: Flash, Sumo and Mini-mo. I use the Mini-Mo burner with the Flash pot in my 2-person camping kit and the Mini-Mo pot and Flash burner in my solo kit.
Solo, I only boil water but I want a low and wide pot for my dog to clean the pot.
Dual person I generally use the Jetboil to boil water but it must be a back-up stove so carry the Mini-mo with simmer.
Regardless, I LOVE Jetboil.

I would luv more info on water…planning, carrying, filtering. It’s my biggest issue/weight, besides too much food.🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Please do a full review on the hyperlite! I’d love to get a full deep dive on it.

And a quilt??? I feel like this video is from the twilight zone, haha.

7:11 No HMG pack is even remotely waterproof. They all get wet inside in heavy rain. You must not have tested it in rough weather.
Great video, I just want people to stop perpetuating this HMG waterproof myth. Because you will get a nasty surprise without a proper drybag.

Been going light for a long time. I own no ultralight gear. I choose things that work and weigh less. Rarely exceed 24 lbs starting out with food and water for 3 days. It's so much more comfortable and not being exhausted at camp gives me time to explore. Try it.

I didn't see the Peanut Butter M&Ms listed in your food. I rewatched your food countdown, and you called them Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips. I originally thought that was an ingredient of the energy bar you had just described.
