King of Kings - Hillsong Worship - Acoustic cover with chords

Acoustic cover of 'King of Kings' by Hillsong Worship. I'm playing in the key of G, which works well for a male vocal. The original song is in the key of D, which is suited for a high female vocal.

GEAR:
Guitar: McPherson Camrielle Acoustic Guitar
Vocal Microphone: Earthworks SR314

The acoustic was tracked with the McPherson through a Slate VM-1. I did two takes and panned them left and right. The vocals were tracked through the SR314.

Audio/Video Production: Brian Wahl

It's so cool to me that Worship Tutorials is not only a resource and a tool for those participating in worship at their home churches, it *also* provides us with additional worship for our lives. This video is a wonderful example of that. Brian your heart and love for Jesus are so present. Finding myself saying "Amen!" over and over again as I watch this.

Thank you I just wanna take a moment and say thank you, you’ve made a tutorial simple enough for the not so skilled person to worship at home.

Love it brother! I love this song and of course you’re always crushing it in your renditions. You definitely got up there on those high notes!

Additionally, (and I always comment this) I really appreciate your ministry! It’s meant a lot to me over the years, and has been my guitar teacher for a while now. Since discovering you about 4 years ago, God has moved me from just picking up a training guitar (that you could barely even call a guitar) so I could barely pound out How Great is Our God, to leading a small worship band for my church’s student ministry. I also occasionally lead worship on acoustic at other churches in my area. Thanks a lot for what you are doing and I trust that God is blessing you and your family for your effort and commitment to serving Him!

Hey Brian, I love the smoothness and evenness of your voice. That's such a good voice for leading a congregation, very easy to follow and should be modeled by any worship leader watching this. I just have one comment and that's that this song is good in the key of G, but I may want to add that it's good for a stronger, higher male voice, not necessarily the voice of the 'common' man. I 've been trying to find the right key for our congregation and I think the original key of D ends up being good as the lower melody fits the normal male voice. Females can also choose to sing the higher female melody or that lower melody and be comfortable in either based on what type of voice they have. Just my two cents, thanks for doing these!
