The appeal of Dave and Howard to guys in my generation (born in 75) is that they were like us kids in the back of the classroom making snide and sarcastic comments about the teacher. Carson was the guy my parents watched. It is hard to appreciate today, but watching Late Night in the mid 80s was shocking because Dave broke so many rules about what a talk show could do. It was just stupid and goofy. Carson was great, but he was never stupid and goofy. That’s why we love Dave and Howard.

‘89 born. Grew up watching Conan, letterman, and Jay. Listened to Howard on the radio because my father listened to him every morning, west coast air time. Loved Howard and his evolution professionally and personal growth all the way to Sirius. Respect and appreciate Conan and Letterman today.
