How to Draw with Line Weight

Figuring out where and when to use thicker and thinner line weight makes your drawing more interesting and communicates a more complex story to the viewer. The problem is that it can be confusing to figure out how to apply line weight to your drawing if you don’t know what you want to communicate. In this lesson, we’ll go over the hierarchy of line weight you’ll want to think about when you’re drawing. All these methods we’ll cover are just tools that you can mix and match to fit your taste.

Thank you so much for this video! I've tried to find out why specific artists use which ones for what reason for years but never really found a clear answer, just contradicting fragments of info. Years later, I still frequent this track!The intensity and melody is fantastic.

I can admire the original for its triumphant nature in that the dragons are recognizing you as a symbol, but this just sounds sooo much better even with the context. Nothing jubilant here, just a pair of dragons with powers considered distrastous to the planet, yet are humble enough to maintain peace.
