The Art of Unblocking: A Video Journal

Life hasn't been so easy these days. Myself and some friends decided it was time to go on a short retreat, to give space to listen and rest. It was a refreshing time and we found ourselves talking a lot about how to 'unblock' creatively. Sometimes we get so full of clutter and we get stuck in our heads overthinking. This was a time to slow down, let go of a lot of that, and 'cleanse the vessel' so that creativity can flow.

Oh, Jonathan! How creative and sensitive are you! Its so good to see God's childs exploring His creativity and sharing from Whom their creativity comes from. This video was a balsamum to my soul! Soooo good vibes, so good of God's Spirit and remembered me that I should to "romantize" more my life, I need to record, take photos and observe in the little details, how much God are in. ouuu thanks for sharing Jonathan! I am currently experiencing a season of dryness rn and my creative tank has run dry, no motivation to do anything creative at all 😢 but, this is a great reminder to take a breather and go on a retreat with Jesus- away from the noise and chaos of this life 🤍

My eyes are glassy right now as I watch this. I'm all cooped up at home given my remote work so often there isn't much to nourish creative inspiration, so I felt my heart hurt a little when I watch this. I want to go outside but time deems it a little impossible. I don't want to miss anything here knowing I have my share of duties. I love productivity but I dunno if I'm taking care of my creativity. Minimal pain aside, there's hope glimmering from your video journal. I feel hopeful as an artist. Just like the waves freely crashing, there's a sense of relief & freedom in God's creation that pulls our shades up.

I feel like the Lord wants me to explore creativity to "unblock" as well, although I've never thought to use that word to describe how I feel.
