Yes, the Roland S1 only has 16 preset pattern what a shame in my opinion. :(
The Roland T8 Beat Machine has 4 x 16 = 64 of course not all are good but it can always be a good starting point or simply inspiring. Roland was so many times criticized by having so many presets on so many of his products. Now is chasing the criticism in the lack of them.

Yes, you can overwrite all the 4 x 16 = 64 on the Roland S1 but presets comes only with the 16 the ones I show in the video.

Soon I will post some Jams with both Roland T8 ans Roland S1.

I love this little synth. I'm definitely going to get it. It's the perfect camping and travelling device. The sounds are lovely.

I sometimes think people miss the point of things in an effort to dislike a brand. This is made for portability. And this line from Roland nails it. Pair it with the new sampler and you're in business.

I’d really love to reverse engineer each preset. Some are pretty great and it’d be a valuable lesson to see how each were made

I clicked on this to hate it because it's a ROLCA lol. I love it, sounds incredible from the first preset to the last. Juice Wrld sounding preset was sick!!
I own a korg volca fm2 as my only volca just to not have to lugg around a DX7, chorus & reverb pedal (I control it with a prologue 16 and mix presets).

Behringer's pro VS looks cool and all, but this is a roland product so it might be better.
(Yet anything is better than paying for roland cloud haha)

How do i switch to different sounds? Im only able to access different sounds if im on pattern 1. But if im in patterns 2-4 it only gives me one sound.

El preset 1-07 pareciera que tiene dos secuenciadores en paralelo, como logran ese efecto? Hay un LFO independiente del secuenciador o como lo llega a ese sonido dual?

Im forcing myself to love all new Roland units, but someone in me squints contemptuously because of blatant digital sound of them.. s1 has nothing with sh-101, sad…

Size of these devices is crap. Sound is wonderfull.

I wish these synths were big, sturdy, had proper outputs and MIDI ports... Don't know why these should be smaller than Rolands external synth editors of the past.
