Although I am not back I like that African Americans have one more person to look up to and strive to be, a kid in the ghetto can look up and see him and say "he looks like me I CAN DO THAT!" I admire him as a human, a scientist and a role model, and I hope If i ever have children, that they will also see him as a hero.

The first task, however, is to save us from self-destruction.

Of course. Knowing my luck they already got this gift and they'll point and tease and call me Late Show or something. Haha. Merriment either way.

I think it's awesome that the comment section is so full of uploader comments, by the way. I'm excited to see more. Ok. Now I've got some catching up to do!

perhaps we need to invent a fire/ melt prof material, something that can sustain incredible amount of heat, and just make a drill / pipe and implant it into the sun however there is a problem since sun only heats to p to 15 mill kelvin

I never really thought about the sun caring extra hydrogen in it, but that is an interesting fact to know.

This question is the basis of Isaac Asimov's short story 'The Final Question', which was Asimov's favourite piece of his own work.

could someone please explain how we will become extinct or the variety of ways it may happen, because as neil says the average mammal existence is 3 million years, but we are no average mammal, our intellect is a lot higher so surely we have a much greater chance of surviving for longer than the average mammals existence?

We must save our sun, every sun in the galaxy and maybe outside it. Otherwise everything will go extinct.

I don't know if I should live, but I know that I want to live. :D Ever since the beginning your life, your desire to survive has always been one of the biggest drivers of change. You will find yourself scrambling to live before you have time to scold yourself and others of our misdeeds.
