Dr. Mark Musen from Stanford University presents "Introduction to Big Data and the Data Life Cycle"

Lecture Description
Data are created, they persist for a period of time, and they may be lost or destroyed. With luck, they may be reused and re-explored to yield new insights and to spark new investigations. This talk will highlight major themes in the management and use of scientific data, and the ways in which investigators can ensure that their data will have maximum benefit to the scientific community. The talk also will provide background for future presentations in this series.
