This session explores the application of MAXQDA's AI Assist in analyzing qualitative big data, specifically using YouTube comments as a dataset. Assoc. Prof. Melike Tekindal from İzmir Katip Çelebi University presents a study that leverages MAXQDA's AI capabilities to analyze over 6,500 English comments on Brené Brown's most-watched TED Talk in the field of Social Work. The session highlights how MAXQDA features such as automatic coding, sentiment analysis and summarization enhance the efficiency and depth of qualitative data analysis.

For those of us who speak Spanish, feelings are experiences of emotions, and although this study is a proposal, it generates ambiguity in the mixture of the generation of the categories and subcategories already presented in the conclusions of this work.

Interesting experimentation. However, many categories were not mutually exclusive (there were even repetitions), without a clear fundamentum divisionis. For such reasons, unfortunately, the final output is not really informative. Once again, even for simple (albeit tedious and time consuming) research activities like topic summarization, AI results should always thoroughly check step by step and re-worked (despite this could mean adding again the extra time initially saved). Hope you can continue to work on it. Thanks for sharing!
