2020 mic is better, but really not by very much. Just goes to show the 2018 IPP is still a solid device!

I have one on order with delivery expected in next few days (it’s preparing to ship as I type). I’m coming from an iPad 4 - I went to order a new iPad on Store without knowing of this ‘new’ model so I’m delighted to get one of the first. For anyone ‘upgrading’ from the 2018 iPP model it’s obviously not a game changer. I see it as comparable to a new car facelift model, mid cycle. Also, it’s become so good in the past 10 years that huge improvements to iPad Pro aren’t really to be expected now. Great vid BTW. I came here from the MacRumors Forums where I only just signed up!

Thank you for this video. I already have the 2018 iPad Pro so I think I’m good. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. 🙂

Thanks for pointing out the differences (or non-differences, lol), very helpful to know! I'm going to hang on to my 2018 model for now, but would definitely upgrade if there was a game changing upgrade in the future. However, definitely have my eye on the new magic keyboard. Thanks!

My 2018 iPad had hardcore ghost touches, then they send me a replacement iPad that also ghost touches when you pick it up then lay it down. I also don’t like that when the action gets heavy in PUBG, or I’m charging at the same time the screen goes dim, for heat reasons. And between half on youtube and half on pubg, this iPad doesn’t get more than 5 hours. I hope this new one fixes all of it. And also scanning the room in AR is annoying, and wide shots are nice.

I had the 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 for 10-days and sent it back. From stability issues, portrait/landscape quirks, and apps that I use are still not optimized for the iPad. Also, it didn't feel all that sturdy for real-world use. It seems like Apple is still obsessed with form over function, which is great if that's what you're in to.

Considering I have the original 9.7 pro, I’m going to get the 2020 12.9, it’s definitely a huge upgrade from what I currently have.

Why do all these reviews assume everyone is coming from the 2018 Pro? I'm upgrading from a series 3 iPad. I reckon the 2020 model will be better for me!

My 2020 iPad will be here in the first week of April. I'm upgrading from a Gen 1 12.9 iPad Pro to this Gen 4, should be a big improvement over all. I'll likely pick up a track pad keyboard for it in May if they're available on time and aren't too costly.

Good video, just some feedback: It would be useful to hear the microphone quality without the background music so we can get a sense of the noise floor and the effect of the ambient environment on the recordings. Enjoyed the video though 👍🏻

Does the pencil scratch the screen? Should I get a screen protector?

Well knowing Apple for years and its marketing strategy, I am absolutely not surprised and even less impressed. I keep my iPad Pro 2018 which is powerful enough to be able to use it for a long time !

Just got mine last night. I was surprised that the camera does not have night sight, (or whatever it's called), like the iphone does. I thought the cameras were the same. Other than that, I love it! Alot lighter than my 12.9 ipad.

Already bought one. I’m upgrading from a 2013 mini, though, so huge difference for me.

I have an iPad from 2017 and until is still supported im not planing any upgrades. Just can’t see the point of it. Are they finally moved front face camera? Or or still on the side?
