This is an awesome look when set on the diagonal. Dark squares go one direction and light the other. Also, if you piece 2 small blocks first then the other two blocks you can snip the first block from the chain and add the last block. If you chain piece, the 3 pieces are connected and no extra cutting. I hope this is clear as mud
