I like the metaphor for Icarus and progressing towards the sun as a sign of the nearing end. Clever.

Looks like the devs really put effort into the art-style and the gameplay. Thats the kind of game that deserves high praise and 5 Million sold copies.

alcohol making things hurt less is true. Mostly because when you are drunk, you are relaxed. When your muscles are relaxed the less pain you will feel. When they are tense, the more pain you will feel

@tommoex

I don't think it can. It goes into 3rd person while using cover. The rest is being made around a FPS perspective.

Quick fyi, Deus Ex came out in June 26, 2000. It was game of the year for 2000.

The way he drags people is just like how Mr.47 drags people

So, with the strength augmentation I can practically turn a fridge into a companion cube, awesome.

If I had to ~guess~, I would say no, since the Deus Ex games have always been big in terms of "implied scale" but relatively small in terms of what you can actually visit. Deus Ex 2 gained notoriety for having small environments, but the cities in the original game weren't huge, either. (They were "bigger, " but they weren't anywhere near what an Elder Scrolls game's major cities might be, for example.)

I'm not sure how I feel about regenerative health. Having to manage damage was part of what kept the first game challenging.

"You can trow fridges at people!". Reminds me of playing Deus Ex 1 and droping a vase on a terrorrist, knocking him out... Good times.

It isn't possible yet, but it is going to be in the Directors cut edition.

@saloei im sure if you don't want to go against cover you don't have to. I think the cover system is by the press of a button. so if you want to peek around a corner I think you can. But that's just an assumption. And I know what you mean it's better to be first person and poke around the corner. But don't be so let down by one feature. Trust me, keeping stealth is harder than you think in these games.

Wasn't trying to be rude. I only did the same thing you did to Natzero, which was give him a correction.

As for my life, I've been studying Game Design in college and did a paper on the history of gaming for that class. :P

@natzero81xD It's first person, it's a shooter, it's a first person shooter. Fps games are allowed to have rpg elements.

@saloei THATS GREAT! Me too. I just wasn't sure why you were hating if they did decide to add it in. I mean its better without for sure, but the way they had it wasn't horrible. But this is great news :DD It will be immersion just like the first DE

I am wondering how much of the city will be open to explore. I also wonder if the game will have multiple locations around the world to visit.

@kakashi14566 no. The original deus ex is first person and it will always stay like that. Third person was added in for a bit of style and variety. We already have alot of 3rd person stealth games. We dont need more.
