10 Years Later, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Is Still One Hell of A Game

Again, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is by no means a perfect game. There are a few flaws with both the narrative and the gameplay, but in the face of what it does right – these shortcomings are minor nuisances.

That being said, Human Revolution can still be enjoyed in its original form – which can be attributed to a strong understanding of the game’s core values and how they should be evolved to better suit a newer audience. Two mainline entries and a decade later, Deus Ex’s current identity can be traced back to the framework and the mechanics featured in Human Revolution.

What awaits the future of the franchise is uncertain, but what can be pieced from this narrative is that the confidence with which the developer rewrote the playbook for the franchise is what most importantly, makes Deus Ex: Human Revolution one hell of a game.

The soundtrack of this game is just absolutely top tier. Its like something from a dark cinematic future where everything just pulses and flashes. I have only played the game once but that soundtrack has just stuck with me so hard

Human revolution is actually my favorite game of all time, the soundtrack was amazing, the voice acting was superb, the story, just a big ball of greatness and a super underrated game. I mention this game to a few people and have never heard of this game and when they play it they thank me for telling them.

We need a third game. Jensen's story deserves to be finished.

Easily one of the greatest games ever created. Hopefully now that Cyberpunk crashed and burned, a new Deus Ex is in the works to fill the void.

I just literally beat Human Revolution for the 2nd time since beating it 9 years ago, 2 weeks ago on my Series X. Such a wonderful game i love it even more now, I wish there was more. ManKind Divided just didnt do it for me like Human Revolution did. Human Revolution runs great and looks great on Series X. Bought the physical copy Directors Cut for $3.00.

Agreed. A More-Than-Worthy sequel to Deus Ex. In fact, I haven't really wanted to replay DX since HR and MD have come out.

I'd kill for a remaster with modern controls

This game is in my all time top five.
I got it when it first came out and although the price surprisingly dropped rapidly I didn't regret the purchase at any point.
The game is so diverse I love how there's so many ways to approach each problem, you can sneak about or go in guns blazing.
Or you can bribe or talk your way through situations perhaps.
The augmentations are so much fun as are the weapons and upgrades for the weapons, the story is polished and the overall atmosphere created is so amazing it keeps you hooked.

I never understood the negative reviews. I discovered this game in the last 4 years for the first time and it’s an absolute gem! Even today.

Playing DX:Mankind Divided after made Cyberpunk feels like child's play. We need more Deus Ex, not those comic bs..

Finish playing this about a couple of weeks ago on new game plus and still one of the best games from the series.

I never paid attention to this franchise and knew nothing about it.. But now upon discovering it seems right up my alley.. I’m a fan of sci fi and find all the Alex Jones, Orwell and Huxley dystopian themes pretty fascinating..
