#Diversity in #Islam

A common misconception about #Muslims is that we are all #Arabs from the Middle East. Certainly #Islam spread from what is current day #SaudiArabia, but today only 20% of Muslims live in Arab countries, and in reality, there are no regional borders to Islam. With 1.5 billion of us worldwide—that’s a fourth of the earth’s population!—we’d be hard to fit into one country! While there are more of us in certain areas than in others, you can find Muslims just about anywhere in the world.

Islam is #multiracial, #multiethnic, #multicultural, and #multilingual. Many more countries are home to Muslims than what can be mentioned in this brief video. That is part of what makes the #religion so beautiful.
