Hello all!
This video is a short demo on how to splice your own Mobius Brummel Splice, which is a super versatile splice for making an exceptionally strong eye at the end of a piece of line. In this case, we were replacing the topping lift on our Passport 42, Gemini. We used 5mm Amsteel Blue line which was left over from another project.

We hope that you can learn a little with this video and hopefully we can encourage some of you to try your own splicing!

Let us know in the comments below if you liked this video, or what we could have improved to give more valuable information - yours comments and thumbs up mean everything and we super appreciate your support!

The fids are known as "Swedish" fids. I agree that they are great.
Would this work, though, if the standing end is already attached to something large? For the splice you did, the mobius part was not needed.
