I've had the petrol version of this for the last 2 years (and several Skoda Octavia Estates for the 6 years before that) - couldn't agree more with is review! So much about the Formentor is great - and head-turning, I've had so many conversations with passers by wanting to know about it - but the weaknesses are the touchscreen, which has to be absolutely precise and quick in it's operation, or it's painfully annoying and certainly dangerous - the performance which is pretty good, but not what it looks like - and that boot, which even on the petrol version, suffers from constriction because of the sloping rear curves. It's capacity feels half an Octavia Estate, even though the footprint of the car is the same. But it's fun, and the steering is a quiet revelation. Completely electornic, it's instantly responsive (takes some getting used to!) and the turning circle is tiny. Lots of good things about the Formentor, if the few irritants aren't show-stoppers for you.

Unfortunately, mostly due to high costs (because manufacturers don't want to lose out on fossil cars, so they generally hike the prices, up to £10, 000 or more in some cases on the full EV or Hybrids) people will need these cars to 'test the waters' for full EV's, at least for those can afford them.

Of interest to disabled drivers (remember us?): is it available with electrically-adjustable seats, for the driver at least? No mention of this on the Cupra website.

38mpg if you don’t charge it. Style over substance.

This car looks good I have to say but not as good as it's plugin hybrid rivals in terms of pure electric range and overall fuel economy. Shelf charging Plugin hybrid with a pure electric range of 40miles or more like the Toyota RAV4, Lexus NX suits mine and my family's needs. The vast majority of my travels would be run on pure electric and only on the odd occasion (once a month, if that) due to distance would I use the petrol motor, even then I could still run it in hybrid mode. For me pure electric is just not an option at this moment in time, recently highlighted when my grandmother passed away. Having the ability to get in my car and be by her bedside in time to say my goodbyes and not worry that I don't have the electric range or have to stop for a few hours to charge the car.

I am a Seat fan but just don't get the Cuora brand, even Seat seem confused.
Smart looking car but all seems a bit pointless tbh, it's not very quick and not very economical. It'll probably sell like hot cakes 🤣

Hybrids are NOT EV. They STILL use gas. Please change the name of this channel to "Driving almost electric, but not quite".
