The Twitch CEO, Dan Clancy, recently did an interview with Mizkif where they eventually briefly touched on how much he makes (without going into details), The CEO of Twitch went on to say that he most likely makes less per year than Mizkif and other top Twitch Streamers.

Because his total compensation includes stock options probably, you can have $1 salary and make $800, 000+ in income if it’s not direct salary that makes up your major compensation

them asking for donations is part of how they make more than the CEO, also even if they ask for donations it's up to their viewers to actually donate. the way you're wording it makes it seem like a bad thing but i disagree, if i enjoy someone's content enough to donate whether they ask for donos or not that's my choice. you cannot act as though you are above these things when you're making content specifically about these things with the main goal of money, obviously this is a generalisation but most people pursue youtube as a job and not just for fun.
