This is SO ADORABLE!!! I was cooking scrambled eggs all by myself while standing on a kitchen chair when I was just six years old. I love seeing your sweet little girl learning how to cook safely and well, with you there at her side. Hopefully this will encourage a lifetime love of cooking in her, as it has for me.

I should share with you my method of cracking eggs. I crack my eggs simulating the nursery rhyme of Humpty Dumpty. First I decorate the egg to look like Humpty Dumpty by affixing arms and legs cut out of paper to the egg with duct tape (scotch tape doesn't stick good to eggs just taken out of the refrigerator) and drawing a face on the egg. Then I set up a box that is supposed to be the wall, and at the bottom of the box is a bowl separate from the pan in which the eggs are cooked. I seat the decorated egg on top of the wall above the bowl to simulate the line "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall." To simulate the line "Humpty Dumpty had a great fall" I knock the egg off the box into the bowl, where it cracks upon landing. Then I take out figurines of the king's horses and the king's men to simulate the final part of the rhyme "All the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again". (This final part isn't part of the egg-breaking procedure, but I do it to be complete.) Then I use a spoon to remove any fragments of shell from the egg before pouring them into the pan to be cooked.
It's work and play at the same time.
