YES! The Wayward Pines trilogy is amazing! I hope you love it too. I went into it totally blind and that is how it is best read I think. Avoid spoilers lol.
Annihilation is the book I am reading at the moment am 80 pages in and I love it so far. You do not get bored with this book I can tell you that much :) I hope you have a great readathon!

Annihilation isn’t really what I’d think of as apocalyptic. It’s more like a small area that has been over taken by alien terrain etc and they’re just trying to send expeditions to better understand it. There are two more books in the series also though.

I really liked it for what it was though. It’s kind of dense and analytical for such a small book, but super fascinating.
