OVERHYPED FURNITURE & DECOR | ARE THEY WORTH IT?!

Hi everyone nobody asked but in today's video we are talking about overhyped furniture & decor. Are they worth it or not? Since we live in the digital age we are constantly seeing beautiful items on social media. Some are all hype but some are actually worth it. At the end of the day its all personal preference. I actually inherited those Pierre Jeanneret armchairs from my dad .He bought it in 1969, and according to him quite affordable
And also inherited a couple of vintage antique rugs from my grandma. Yes, they're faded and ( a bit ) frayed. However they're made from a mix of silk and wool and super soft !

I like my ruggable. It’s great for high traffic areas- and pets. I have two kitties... and having something I can literally throw in the washing machine is amazing. Because there are no knots- the cats can’t pull up the fibers with their claws. It looks nice and stays looking nice in my home. 🤷‍♀️
I’m sure there are better rugs out there, but I’d rather have this kind for high traffic areas. My wool rugs can live in the bedrooms and other areas that get less foot traffic.

I agree with you on all counts Arvin! I tried the cloud sofa at the RH outlet and I couldn't scooch out of it. For people like me with sciatica, herniated or slipped discs, super soft couches like these are a punishment because they're so unsupportive. Also I'm short, so trying to get out of a couch this deep has me looking vulgar 😅

The big corner sofa trend has already outstayed its welcome here in the UK. It's gone to live with mirrored furniture in the second hand shop now, so you'll pick up a 'pre-loved' one for a song. Love the vase in your backdrop here xx

I have a Loloi plastic rug in my kitchen! They are more akin to being “mats” rather than rugs. I cook a lot and I drop food and liquids on my Loloi rug without guilt and with easy cleanup. It has a beautiful, Nordic print and serves its purpose.

It is absolutely not something I would place in any room other than the kitchen or laundry room.

People with dogs buy ruggable and I understand why. I had to throw out all my rugs because I have an old beagle with a leaky bladder. The choices are no rugs at all or a ruggable you can throw in the washer.

I agree with you on almost everything except BoHo I absolutely love when people DIY items to make them affordable for their home I feel like if they wanna take the time to make some thing on their own if they have that low of a budget then I think it’s amazing!!! And creative
