I bought three alleged "hobby" tools that were advertised to me CONSTANTLY so I could check them out - and tell you what I think.

I use three cups for one or a couple of sessions. One for dirty water, one for washing my brush after it’s been in the dirty water cup and one for metallic colours. Brushes get clean quick. The clean and dirty water cups just switch places when I replace the dirty water cup. Minimal effort, great result.

My gf kickstarted the hobby organizer and I love it. Like you said, for people who don't have a hobby space (like me) this is perfect. The sponge is very good at holding water for a long time and the paper that comes with it lets water through a bit more than traditional wet pallet paper, which makes thinning a breeze

I've been using the water toilet thing for about a year now and I can't imagine ever going back to mugs filled with water. Having a steady supply of fresh, clean water is so nice! Especially during cleanup when I'm soaking all the brushes I used in brush soap (dry rushes especially since they absorb water/soap like crazy)

The brush rinser very conviniently doubles as a drinking fountains for cats.

I Kickstarted the Krydrufi and I really like it. The thing I like best is the rubber brush holders that can soak your brushes without blunting them or hang them to dry. My hobby area is my dining table so I have to be able to clean up and pack it all away.

I took part in the Krydrufy kickstarter and the team are really keen on getting feedback about their products. Lovely lot.

My wife used to have a lot of make up stuff, and she has a massive bottle of makeup brush cleaning solution. So I would assume the "cleaning fluid" would be that solution.

Tbh, I have used that brush cleaning solution before on a painting brush, and it really cleans the brush well. I have a tiny bit that I hold onto so that I can clean my make up brushes after using them.

I love these review videos of yours! Admittedly, I still carry around an old paint/water cup that came in my kit from attending art school and it still kicks around in my painting stuff to this day.. 13 years later.

Apparently make brush cleaner is isoparaffin. I had to look it up. We use it to clean flux off circuit boards at work. Not sure how well it would work on dry paint, especially diluted in water.

You could be the Ron Popeil of miniature hobby tools! Thanks for volunteering your time and money to check these out for the rest of us.

I got one of those flowing paint water cup/fountain things awhile ago because my cats kept trying to drink paint water whenever I had to leave the desk for a short bit. It solved that AND then I realized it also helped prevent paint cross contamination

Dude I LOVE the Krydrufi! As someone who takes my stuff around regularly it’s awesome. Not all modules are great for mini painters but the wet palette and water cups are perfect for me. 10/10 recommend.

Isopropyl is used to sanitise makeup brushes (and the makeup) between clients for professional makeup artists so I imagine they will be fine. I find makeup brushes can be rough handled a lot more than paint brushes, I've washed mine in very hot water with dish soap for instance bashing it against a silicone brush cleaner as if I'm trying to drybrush it and stab it simultaneously and the brushes have survived. I would give cleaning them a try before buying new ones as I'd be surprised if they don't survive regardless of what you do to them in the process.

I should also note I've never spent more than £2 on a single brush, generally they are generally the cheapest ones in Asda (UK's version of Walmart), Boots (Walgreens) or Poundland (Dollar Store) etc.

I use the water jug paint thingy. It prevents me from dipping my brush into my beverage or from accidentally drinking my paint cup. I like it a lot. I have the brush cleaner that was featured in this video. I love it because I am a face painter. It cleans my brushes very well! But I can see it not working right for acrylic paints.

Love the water toilet and stand by it! Its reduced the clutter on my desk a bit and also is less messy than 2 or 3 seperate cups that can also potentially be knocked over too. Its a great time reducer as well, as I dont have to consistently run back and forth cleaning cups throughout a paint session if Im messing around with multiple colors and/or metallics. Great investment and is the only thing aside from standard cups I would recommend investing money in

As a make up applier, I did effects and such for independent films n whatnot, wash your makeup brushes with Suave clarifying shampoo diluted to about 10 % in water. Rinse the hell out of them. That little cup seems more like a rinse station than anything, a bad one.
Also, isopropyl shouldn't do anything to your brushes beyond leave a film. The glue will be fine.

Glad to see the brush rinser get a fair shake. I got one a yearish ago and the lid design was terrible and leaked badly. I had to get it sealed underwater but once I did it was fine. The spring started to weaken so it was slowly leaking. I ordered two more, one of the same style and a different one. The duplicate seals much better. The new style has several minor issues, most notably the drain piece moves if you aren't careful, but it was only $6 so not worth returning.

It has been a huge thing for removing barriers to start painting. As you mention about it sitting it lasts quite a long time so I rarely have to worry about rinse water when I want to paint.

Took your advice and picked up the "brush cleaner/water reservoir type thing".

Works a treat!
