Artist Michael Hanna in conversation with Clare Gormley from Belfast Photo Festival

Titled ‘A Living Color Index’, Northern Ireland-based artist Michael Hanna’s photo series is a response to experiencing shifts in time and memory as the days and weeks began blending together during the lockdown. For seven weeks during the pandemic, the artist’s home was lit up entirely with a different color from the color spectrum. He photographed his home through an acutely personal lens, exploring the way he responded to each color.
