WATCH: Pence claims Biden's climate plan is 'the same' as Green New Deal

During the first and only vice presidential debate of the 2020 election, Vice President Mike Pence did not directly answer whether he believes that climate change poses an existential threat, but acknowledged that "the climate is changing." Pence dismissed California Sen. Kamala Harris's support for a ban on fracking, although Biden himself does not share that stance and calls instead for "banning new oil and gas permitting on public lands and waters." Pence also argued that Biden's climate plan is "essentially the same" as the Green New Deal, a charge that Biden vehemently denied during last week's first presidential debate.
