I have been playing golf for more than 60 years and I didn't become a good putter until I adopted three things. One "don't" and two "dos". Don't become mechanical, putting is 99.9% feel. Get a comfortable grip and stance, and three, hit the ball into the hole. Simple as make it harder than it is.

I have been frustrated with my putting lately (too many 3-putts, missing too many 3-4 footers). But I went out to the course early yesterday (before my round) and practiced with a metal yardstick and a mirror, and worked it out. My stroke was ok (stayed on the yardstick), but I think I was standing too close to the ball; eyes over/past the ball. I putted much better during my round and shot my lowest score of the year. BRAVA!!! you really are fantastic! so, I'm a list guy... 1. Grip it in the palms (overlap left index on top of right pinky and ring) 2. Clubhead flat on the ground 3. Ball under left eye 4. Pinch Elbows in...smoth stroke, 1...2..
