But Marx's analysis of Capitalism was very near impeccable.

Theoretically a Keynsianesque capitalist system could eliminate inequality... But that takes inordinate amounts of state power, and private capitalists always kneecap the state so it doesnt do that.

Actually, the standard of living in the Soviet Union was far lower than in any Western country. Their health care would make the standard of care available to the average American look outstanding. It is also a myth that the Soviet Union was socialist. The Soviets upheld that idea because they wanted to project an egalitarian image. The United States did the same so they could point to the USSR and tell Americans; "That is Socialism". No one in their right mind would want that system.

Yeah, I don't believe that. Also, people are not necessarily weak because they're born into poverty. These are artificial conditions that could easily be addressed if we chose to change.

Many ppl keep saying free-market capitalism is the best system, but the fact is USA is neither operating on free-market system, nor purely is she a capitalist state. Compare China during the 1970's and 1980's. Sure China operated on a Command economy, but China was self sufficient, and her population continually grows, somehow we think every body needs a car, every body needs an ipad. We think mat'l things = happiness.

Easy, look at all the fine work social programs and donations did for Africa over the last 70 years.

Now look at the 300 million people that rose from dirt hut poverty to middle class status in the last 20 from just a little capitalism in China.

So, your turn, time to name the 100's of millions that went from dirt hut poverty to middle class status (and remained so 20 yrs after, with growth) when just a little socialism was added.

Now, even if I were to grant you that there could be some "real free market capitalism" different and more fair than what we have now, wouldn't you have to redistribute land and wealth to at least start people over on an even playing field?

You had people in the USSR intelligentsia who believed that everyone in America was fabuously wealthy and all had mansions. There are plenty of Russians who will tell you today how much better it was under the USSR and that they didn't realize how good it was until capitalism was restored.

It was said in this video that China has MORE room to have stimulus then the US or EU. If you are talking about debt levels sure, but what about riots? You think the Chinese people can stand any further inflation?

There is a lot produced under capitalism, but it is wasted precisely because the market determines those people should starve. Tell me, why do you think it is necessary to compete with each other and keep this monopoly game going when we could easily produce what is needed and wanted for everyone? And what does a market system have to do with freedom? I mean I'm a competitive person but can't we evolve past struggling against each other for the means of survival?
