Small Correction ! The goggles in the video are DJI Goggles 2 and not the V2 (The DJI Goggles v2 are the older and much bigger goggles) 😄

I am studing this stuff now. 2019 i think, all drones must be equipped with broadcasting transponders. Not sure if this applies to when you buy a kit RC plane. Early next year all flyers must install a transponder and they are hard to find. It will make us comply with new lawss such as a speed limit, and max allow d altitude. I really dislike operating systems like that of the DJA restricting our controls over the system. I have been using Spectrum for the past 15 years and they will sell a transponder for $70... It is on backorder. I dont trust the DJI product as I have one that has a failed firmware update and now will not re do the update and will no longer function.

Plugging into a phone for remote-id isn't a big deal. I use a long cord and just stick the phone in my pocket. It's a non issue. Also, btw, Goggles V2, if you can find them are about 50% less than then goggles 2 or integra.

🤔 Are there not hacks and apps to bypass all the plug in, verify nonsense? My buddy got a drone, not FPV, and he couldn't fly it far at all. After a few app downloads, he found the right one and it worked perfectly. Can't with the newest drones? Genuinely curious because I'm looking to buy

Hey! Glad you are into fpv and enjoy the hobby.. also that you post videos to create awareness.
However, the fact that DJI and other brands have to comply with the FAA rules soon has been out for close to a year.
It always helps to inform yourself deeply before informing others..
if you want to get “around” these rules, build your own drones. Remote ID IS coming to the US and probably some day to the EU..and getting RTF drones HAVE to apply all rules.
Also, little tip- keep your head up when flying- 😋

Apparently if you put a SD card in with the firmware for the European version of the V2 goggles it flashes them and you are no longer required to put in your phone for GPS I follow a few Facebook forms in every single time there's an update for the avata these guys ask if it has broken there European hack and so far It has not

I hate that after plug in, the phone starts to charge from the battery of the goggles 2, so the battery will not last so long.. i also have integra gogglea, but still keep using goggle 2 coa in eu you do not need to use gps

Selling my Avata and only flying home builds now. Didn’t know about all that crap when I bought it. Not getting robbed by some goon tracking me on his phone wile I fly with my daughter.

But also with the v2 u can use analog signal as well as digital meaning I can connect to older drones. The integra and G2 are digital only so you must have the Dji air unit 3 to use. Which isn’t a big deal if you only have one or two fpv drones cause u can buy the air unit and swap it out but when u have a lot then it’s not that financially worth it. The V2 are sway better than the fat sharks for analog
