IMO injector seats need to be replaced every 120-160k.
If they were done right in the first place.

Im in the market atm for a prado 120 or 150. Ive been leaning towards getting the v6 coz of this issue from the info on the web. Leaking injectors leads to a bang. So the turbo diesel engine is a good and reliable engine as long as you take care of as normal, as well as injector seats every 40, 000km. How much does that cost to have them replaced ( original parts and labour ) thanks if u can help.

My 1kd ftv prado is burning oil about 1 litre in 3000k and there is a slight blow by . One mechanic told me you must replace injectors seals and seats then every thing will be fixed and the problem solved . Is that true ?
