Serotonin Syndrome vs. Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome

The basic difference between these two conditions is the neurotransmitters involved. In serotonin syndrome the problem is serotonin; for neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) it’s dopamine.

Yet, the direction of the problem is opposite in each case. Serotonin syndrome is characterized by pathologically high levels of serotonin (usually due to overdosing on serotonin-increasing drugs), but NMS usually occurs when dopamine activity is extremely low (often due to dopamine-blocking drugs prescribed for schizophrenia).

This reveals that there is an optimum concentration of each type of neurotransmitter, going far above or below which is likely to cause neurological problems. Thus, in contrast to serotonin syndrome’s high levels, when serotonin is extremely low it tends to lead to symptoms of depression. And, in contrast to NMS’s low dopamine levels, extremely high dopamine levels are associated with aggressive and addictive behaviors as well as, in some cases, the psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia.

Balance is key.

I found ye througu Kurzesagt's liar video, and decided to watch a bit of a few videos of yours (and completed this one)

I have to say, your camera setup, lighting/filter, background decor, and angling is excellent. It gives the aura of professional (I personally think) lighting and environmental understanding for media.

Although, I have some criticisms as well. That subscribe GIF you have going about every 2 or 1 and a half minutes is genuinely distracting. I know it could be somethin to psychologically persuade someone to do it - but while you're talking about scientific and medical topics - it's just simply annoying.
I think you should also have an intro and outro - maybe similar to how Kurze or SciShow does it - with an end song playing, credits, patreon, etc. For an intro, you could do what you've done with the animated intro of your channel icon, with a song like you have, but you could also add more decorative elements or things relating to your channel, and you could also pop the subscribing gif there instead - it'd make more sense, and during a state of more focus (I'd presume) and less seriousness.

I say you should do more facial expressions and hand gestures, to showcase more activity, more sincerity. Like in SciShow - where they do facial expressions and hand gestures to put emphasis on a subject matter. Your voice is pretty on point though, could use a tiny bit more presenty, more range, but only by a tiny bit, you've pretty much nailed it.

When you talk about other videos to watch, you should provide their thumbnails or a picture of them on Youtube to the side, as to give, allude more to an idea of which video in specific, and provide more of an incentive to check them out. I haven't checked, but if you don't, you should provide the videos mentioned in your description - their links.

Although I don't expect you to, nor may it be plausible due to time allocation or expertise, but pictures of the subject matter being mentioned and shown in the video may assist in the telling of the content you're presenting. You could use animations or videos, but that's more of a touchy subject due to how clickbait channels utilize similar tactics of animation and stock video. It needs a fair balance - like how SciShow and Kurzesagt pull it off. Nothing too fancy, nothing unrelated or drastically different from the subject matter, and nothing so weird or simple that it looks like it came out of MS paint drawn by a 6 year old (although this could work for comedic effect).

On the idea of the above paragraph, you could go for a comedic or simplistic approach like how Sam O'Nella Academy or Jabzy does it. It became their niche to do weird or off-teter drawings.
