How to Cancel Plans in a Paper Planner

When I plan, I try to remember that no matter what I write down, that I'm working on God's time, not mine. My planner holds tentative plans; it's all subject to change.

That said, I like to draw a cute arrow or use a cute arrow sticker and simply write "cancelled, " or "postponed, " or "moved" when plans change. I rarely hide the original plans behind stickers because seeing the changes helps to remind me that God's is the ultimate plan. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas. You ROCK!

Your handwriting is so nice that your planner doesn’t look bad when you mark it out! Everyone tells me I have nice handwriting but when I write in my planner it looks like a 6 year old wrote in my planner. Lol

i love how you stress that it's OKAY to not have a perfect looking planner. Right now, i'm writing and re-writing some of my plans in the planner that i use the sticker cover up. This way, i don't stress over the things that didn't get done. I sometimes white out the plan and then use a empty box sticker, so the writing underneath can't be seen.

Printable sticker paper! I cut down the size I want and cover up the former writing and add new stickers/events. 👍🏼👍🏼

My planner is for real life, so I just write “cancelled” on the planner. I don’t care it it’s messy. 😝

I am just crossing through and drawing arrows for changes in date, within the week. I think that showing how chaotic things are tells the story of the time we are going through.

I really don't mind crossing out stuff and writing why stuff changed, let's me know what was happening that lead to the change, I let's me know when I look back to what was happening in our lives

I'm happy with writing "cancelled" but I fill in my planner with a Pilot Frixion so I can just remove or change anything as I go. Normally works quite well but, yes, sometimes it needs more stickers! I live in Spain where we are on complete lockdown just now. So everything is cancelled. Stay safe everyone.
