Thanks for a great review on Ecamm. I am typically a Windows user, however, I am in the process of getting a Macbook Pro, so Ecamm is now on my list for video production. I like that you can switch layouts very fast while live recording which is one of its best uses. I am now hooked after watching this. Also looking at Premiere and Descript as other options but definitely want to get Ecamm.

I started helping with the live streaming at my church. Unfortunately they are pc based and are using OBS, which can be a headache at times. I’ve been thinking about donating one of my old macs so we can use Ecamm Live.

Hi Heather, just found your Channel today and I’m a big fan! Just wanted to confirm from what you mentioned in the video…can I use Ecamm to create regular YouTube vids with my DSLR but without Live Streaming? Can I just use it as a recording and editing tool for my YouTube videos? I love how it comes with overlays, effects and colour correction etc which I think will be amazing and quick for me to edit my vids than editing them in FCP every time. And can I import motion graphics/overlays from other apps into Ecamm?? Thanks 💖

Do you need two monitors to do screen recording - one for Ecamm controls, the other for the desktop that's being screen recorded? Put another way, how do you do a "full screen" (all pixels) screen recording and not have the Ecamm windows and mouse clicking show up in your screen recording?
