What questions do you about the SONY A7IV as a photography camera???

One feature that I’ve only seen one other you tuber mention is the ability to switch out a lense in the field by closing the shutter protecting it from getting dirt on your sensor. I think that’s a pretty cool feature.

Great PPA ad but you must have ultrasonic hearing to be able to hear your camera inside a car. Does the A7 IV come with a better speaker? haha Great video. I think I will eventually buy the A7 IV and keep the A7 III as a B camera.

Nice upgrades but people have to be aware that more MP can change your post workflow requirements. More storage for the NAS and memory cards, longer load times in LR.. etc

Curious how the silent shutter performance is? I wield 2x A9 and only thing keeping me from upgrading are the silent shutters and 20 fps performance which is valuable during wedding ceremonies.

Cost wise, a7iii prices are dropping like flies. You can get one from 950 to 1100 used. So in theory you can get 2x a7iii + a $500 lens for the price of 1x a7iv.

For photos, you can still live with the A9, A7riii, a7iii. Those are still good options.. For video, a used a7siii is close to the price of a new a7iv.. I'd go with the a7siii.

Thanks for doing a review with photographers in mind. :)

This is actually a genuinely really helpful video on the differences. Unlike a lot of others. One thing I’d love to know is what the colour rendition on the monitor looks like compared to the a7iii. On my a7iii it’s absolutely terrible and looks totally different to the evf tone and colour wise. Would love to know if it’s genuinely better.

I mapped my ISO on my scroll wheel on my A7III so you always had that feature. Now mapping the white balance where you had exp compensation. 👍

Looking at the price difference between the a7iii abd a7iv, the a7iv seems like a nice to have upgrade and not a necessary one.

i like the creative insurance ad you did. it would have been so funny to hear the glass breaking as it cut to black.

Gosh I loved the PPA clever and funny.I think the a7iv is a great option for the best of both worlds. I still will keep my a7c for photography because I love the size and 24mp is good enough for a7cii, that might make me jump. Great video!

if you are not using it for video i would still just get the a7iii for half the price. incremental upgrade for stills. and i can go through a hole days assignment with 2 a7iii's without changing batteries. for the same price of one a7iv. and the a7iv definitely can't go on one battery. the shutter speed in lossless raw types is faster on the a7iii. The only real upgrade for stills is the unlimited buffer with sd cards in lossless compressed raw with the a7iv and the formfactor/grip of the body. and the 33mp sensor is a ok upgrade but not that important. all other is not important. for stills. for video though it's a whole nother story. it's a big step up in all accounts

I have been using sony a7iii from past 2 years, I don’t do videos I’m struggling to get good skin tones directly out of camera, issue is i get too much red tones on skin and sometimes it gets difficult to remove red tones from skin because at Indian weddings the decorators uses too much red in the surrounding of location

This new A7IV has better color science? Can you post side by side photos comparing the A7III vs A7IV? I have to see if that is true. I have seen a few youtubers saying that they do NOT see any difference in image quality. Can you be a little more specific when you say "color science"? And what about white balance are you noticing any difference?

Most photographers, including myself, don't like flippy screens but maybe that excites you hahaha :-) I think that flippy screen is one of the main reasons why I'm not too excited about buying this particular camera and it would be hard for me to get used to that.

I’m coming from an A7riii and the lower resolution back screen is even a backwards step from my A7rii.
I’m a bit annoyed about that.
I’m hoping for a big upgrade in lowlight focusing.
I think 33 megapixels is a sweet spot

*Can you just transfer photos and videos to your computer via a Sony app, instead of transferring by plugging an SD card into an adapter?* Do you need a CFA card?

Do you think this is the end of the tilting screen for Sony? I’ve been shooting Sony mirrorless since the NEX7. The last Sony camera I bought was the A7C and I hate the flippy screen. 😞 It’s always in the way, getting tangled in the strap, takes longer to get my camera ready, etc.
