The term “ Colonel” is an honourific, not a reflection of military service. It’s awarded in states such as Kentucky for service to the state, philanthropy, and so on.

This incredible, distinctive looking man man deserved all the success he attained; I'm sorry he had to go through so much to get there but get there he did with his tenacity and ability to bounce back.

Great video, I love the dedication you put into you hard work of making this documentary. Not a super big fan of KFC but it does hold a nostalgic place in my heart from growing up as a kid and having either KFC or Hardee's chicken with my family and playing cards afterwords as a whole family. The days before the internet existed... How about something on Shakey's Pizza or even something about the state of Illinois which is the birthplace of Dairy Queen and Steak N' Shake?

A life of shear determination... If pneumonia hadn't overcome him he would have done something else I bet.
Quite inspirational.

They haven't mentioned the eleven secret herbs and spices in Australia for a long time, but then again it now tastes nothing like what it used to ten years ago.

Kentucky Fried Chicken changed their official name to KFC because of a clause in the franchise agreement that reads all Kentucky Fried Chicken locations must give a free piece of chicken to anyone who asks. This used to work on Dead Tour until they changed it to KFC. I remember one person explaining that to me upon refusing me free chicken. He said "We're not Kentucky Fried Chicken" anymore, we're KFC. a technicality to relieve them of their legal obligation.

The Colonel is no chicken apparently. Didn't know he was a brawler.

That was very interesting. We're you able to one about how McDonald's restaurant started, and it would also be interesting how Burger King started as well.

I purchased a 6 piece pack just recently, and found the chicken to be bland as well as tastless. I am in Australia, and I first tasted Kentucky Fried Chicken, in 1968 when they opened their first store in Australia ! ! Everyone in Australia loved KFC. But sadly come the new mellenium, every thing changed, including the taste and flavor of KFC. Sadly for KFC, and for me, and many others, I will not be enjoying that southern fried taste as I once did many years ago.
