Shoot Out: Armed Home Invader Vs 85-Year-Old Woman With .357 Magnum

An 85-year-old Idaho woman stands as a shining example of courage and the power of the Second Amendment after defending herself and her disabled son from a violent home invader. Armed with a .357 Magnum, she kept for personal protection, Christine Jenneiahn refused to become a victim when a would-be killer invaded her home near Blackfoot, Idaho.

The assailant, 39 years old, stormed her home in the dead of night, handcuffed her to a chair, and subjected her to brutal violence, including threats to kill her. But Jenneiahn, undeterred even after being shot multiple times, used her firearm to end the threat in a decisive act of self-defense.

Jenneiahn’s story underscores the critical importance of the right to bear arms. Despite her age and injuries, her determination to protect herself and her family exemplifies the necessity of having the means to defend one’s home.

The harrowing event began when Condon broke into Jenneiahn’s home, pistol-whipped her, and demanded to know where her valuables were. After forcing her to sit in a chair at gunpoint, he left the room, allowing her a brief window of opportunity. Dragging the chair back to her bedroom, she secured her revolver and strategically positioned it near her in the living room. When Condon returned, furious and threatening her life once more, Jenneiahn took control of the situation by firing two well-placed shots.

Although injured in the exchange of gunfire, Jenneiahn survived while Condon collapsed and died in her kitchen. Left bleeding and still restrained for 10 agonizing hours, her strength and resolve kept her going until her son was able to assist her in calling 911.

Jenneiahn’s bravery and commitment to survival are a testament to the critical role the Second Amendment plays in preserving life and liberty.

If Condon had survived, he would have faced charges including attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated battery.

Instead, a law-abiding citizen stood her ground, proving once again that responsible firearm ownership can be a powerful equalizer against those who seek to do harm.

The video also shows why I shamelessly tell people to get self-defense insurance through a membership like USCCA.

With a USCCA membership, you make two calls if you're in a self-defense shooting. The first one 911, and the second one will be the 24/7 emergency support team who will literally guide you through the unexpected realities of a self-defense situation.

On top of that, you'll get access to an entire legal network of lawyers who not only specialize in self-defense cases; they specialize in self-defense cases in your state!

I work with USCCA because I believe they have the best all-around membership on the market, but even if you don't choose USCCA, choose something because you might be alone if you ever have to defend yourself, but you don't have to be alone through the legal process.

I think USCCA is the best, which is why I work with them, and they do offer my followers special FREE bonuses to become a member with a 365-day money-back guarantee.

A man should be ashamed of himself for robbing an elderly woman and her disabled son. He didn't regret it for long. Self-defense is a human right.

She didn't pull out her gun and threaten him- She pulled it out, and fired.... a really important lesson for all of us. My grandpa always said, "if a situation is at the point you have to draw your weapon, fire it immediately. Don't wave it around."

10 hours!? 10 minutes is a long time to wait for help... but 10 HOURS!?
Bless that woman for being a fighter.

You can walk away from 9mm but you can never walk away from 357 magnum. What a great story of courage and survival.

Better to be prepared and scared than to be scared and not.

My grandma was 85 years old when she passed away. She carried a 22 pistol in her purse all the way to the end. She was known to use it if you didn't do what she said to do. My mama carried a 38 and my sister carries a 357. And of course I carry

This reminds me of my neighbor back in the mid to late 70s. My neighbors husband had died so she sold the nursery they owned and she purchased the house behind us. Everyone knew her as the little old lady with a beautiful yard. Everyone was made aware of her hobby one morning after a few guys broke in and tried to rob her. She was also in her 80s and had spent most of her free time on gun ranges and in shooting competitions. People need to remember the saying don't judge a book by it's cover

The average response time of 911 * about 18 minutes * the average response time of a 357 magnum * about 2100 ft per second * Got to love this story. Thank you for presenting it.

Great learning lesson! As a retired LEO, I will say that even if you live across the street from the police station, most likely you will not have time to wait for a response from the police-you need to be prepared to act swiftly and decisively to save your life.

You don't mess with Grandma, especially if she's armed.
