As an owner of 2 VF8 Plus EVs, my wife and I have been enjoying our cars very much. My car already has 21K miles on it and I only have until March of 2025 to drive it as my lease ends then. I will miss my City Edition VF8 but will say hello to the newly improved VF8 Plus that we will be leasing then. This shows the love and trust I have on VinFast as a company because it stands behind its customer support promise. I shuddered when I heard of your advice to get Tesla Model Y because who wants a car that everybody else has? I have gotten so many compliments on my VF8 that I bet none of the Tesla model Y owners even gets a second look, let alone a compliment on their cars!

It’s just so disappointing to see how everyone likes to kill new companies that come into the industry yet when Teslas junk cars came out with the worst built quality got perfect reviews. It’s a car, they want it to drive like a regular car. If you want a comfortable vehicle, go buy a 120k car. Don’t get one half the price.

I got the same car and his reviews are very genuine. They have lot of software improvements to be made. It can be very annoying sometimes but i guess with software updates things will get better.

at 12:45, you tried to demonstrate that the car would roll back (on a hill), but your video showed it stood perfectly still for a (LIFETIME) of 2-3 sec after you lifted your brake pedal. I don't understand what is your complaint about this again?

I have own a Vf8 plus for the last 2 months and have zero issues, and your compliant on the distortion of glasses are just unheard of and baseless as I drive this thing everyday. There are little noises from the rear wheel well but zero rattling as you mentioned. The Adas are among the best out there, and you said it is out right dangerous is just crazy. You might have a bad unit that you reviewed on, I can guarantee you 99% of actual owners are not agreeing with your reviews, especially you made it sound so dangerous, in reality it is opposite of your verdicts, although it is not 100% perfect, but it is completely safe and performed extremely well. I don't have any glitch as you mentioned and mine is 15 version of software.

Vinfast over emphasizes safety, such as default creep mode, accelerator, hill assist etc. The car is designed for majority of the drivers who follow the driving text books; it is not designed for maniac drivers or bank robbers!

For full price this thing is ridiculous, but you can get one with 600 miles for 20k now. Thinking about it because of the 10 year warranty. Thoughts?

I am a VF8 owner. I agree with most of this video. The car had a good lease deal so I picked it up. However, there are many issues with this car. Most are covered here. I will add that this car is highly inefficient. At most, I gotten 2.8 miles per kwh. Thats garbage. My ID.4 has gotten up to 4 miles per kwh. .The windshield looks warped at the edges. Tire noise experienced at low speeds. The suspension is harsh. You cant stop charging without getting in the car and stopping it from the main screen (this sucks on rainy days). I can go on and on...

Keep the creep mode on, depress brake pedal all the way, and the car won't roll back. Do you own one?

No they dont need to redo the whole thing!! What can be done to the software is a comet in or out!! THIS will correct the issue. There is bugs but its an easy FIX. as of January 2025 MOST issues HAVE been fixed! The Software on the car is Linux bases aka Ubuntu. Same software Tesla Uses just configured differently.
