I thought I understood a little about attack angle but this was a eye-opener. Really useful post. Thanks Stuart.

Love this. experimentation looks like it's key to getting a better understanding of these principles.

Humble video suggestion here Stuart. I'd love to see a holistic video on gaining a higher ball flight with good technique, not just for the driver but more generally. I hit chronically low and take loft off my clubs way too easily. I've seen a few teachers in Edinburgh all telling me I need to add height and spin and feel like I am adding loft, but with little explanation of how to do this well. They say I'm a 'good player ' so I will 'get it'. (That's not how my brain works, unfortunately). Then I can achieve height and spin but loose strike/control/pressure through the handle/posture, and many of the things that normally allow me to hit the ball well. When I play a medal in high winds, everyone's jealous of my control. Any other day it's golf impotence! In a nutshell, I find it hard to hit the ball higher whilst still maintaining good technique. Would love to know some holistic principles for achieving this in a sustainable way.

My clubhead speed with a 7 iron is in the mid 80s. The first time I got on Trackman I was hitting 1.5 degrees up with my 7 iron. The last time I was able to get it 1.5 down but I couldn't get it any more down than that. How can I hit more down other than moving it back in my stance? I do have access to a trackman.
