Check out Power Supply Circuit: @PSUCircuit

Power Supply Circuit - our new PSU channel - has been hard at work testing power supplies for a while now and it turns out some PSU manufacturers have not exactly been honest.

Engineers getting a platinum power supply out of gold is a flex on their part

MSI sponsoring a video featuring their 1000W PSU self destructing in testing. NICE

I unironically love this. Heavy, professional testing with results open to consumers is ridiculously useful and a benefit to all. Thank you

This is the kind of information that power supply manufacturers (certainly the more dodgy ones) would rather people didn't have access to. I applaud LTT for doing this and I will make use of it next time I need a PSU (at the very least to make sure I don't buy anything dodgy)

You know how seriously Seasonic takes their work, and how much proud of it they are, when they give testing equipment to LTT Labs to test their PSU. Shout out to them!

I LOVE how you just straight up said "this channel isn't profitable enough to use human voice so we use ai instead", telling us the truth instead of some bs.

It didn't fail, it succeeded at creating brand recognition.

Wow, I didn't even know you test PSUs before today, let alone publish all your data on lttlabs! This is incredibly useful! Thank you!!!

Any chance you can test some of the Great Wall PSUs, like the Great Wall 2000W?

I literally watch every PSU Circuit video for the sole purpose of increasing its possible reach with the algorithm, because having it available and, more importantly, discoverable through a simple search as a resource for novice builders is invaluable.

Electronics engineer here. Many years ago safety was a selling point, but now its expected and baked into our standards. However, as you shown and I have seen, you would be amazed how much dodgy stuff reaches the market. Chinese stuff is worst for safety, people thinks its great because its cheap until it kills you or burns your house down.

I didn't know PSU Circuit existed AND you didn't put a link in the description.

Don't get me started on Chroma documentation. They sent us one user manual which differed from the manual on the provided CD. When we asked about something in the CD manual, they had no idea what we were referencing.

I will basically only use this information once every 4 years, but will be incredibly happy it exists. Cutting through the BS will be invaluable and such a Pro-consumer move, I hope for nothing but continued success for LTT labs.

As someone who works with power supplies, your "PSU Gauntlet" rack makes me extremely jealous and happy at the same time. Pure bliss to watch.

9:28 Linus Media Group _Three Laws of Power Supplies:_
*1.* A power supply may not injure a human being, or through failure, allow a human being to come to harm.
*2.* A power supply may not injure a computer component except where such protection would conflict with the First Law.
*3.* A power supply must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. 😂

I used LTT Labs to look up some of the power supplies I was selecting between before purchasing my new power sucking GPU. It was super helpful. Thank you!

Love that you guys are going all in on this, super valuable resource for the community

I quite like the effort being put to PSU Circuit. Choosing a right PSU nowadays has become very very crucial given the cost and power being drawn by components. Before there were either very less videos about PSUs or incredibly lengthy ones which one does not want to sit through till end if we want a quick pros and cons while comparing 2-3 selected units.

Thanks lttlabs team :)

I have never had a failed power supply before despite being into computers since the mid 90s. Last night I got a noise from my PC that sounded like a gunshot and my computer is dead. I am trying to figure out how the YouTube algorithm got this video into my feed before my PSU died. Technology is amazing!

2:42 All of those relays will eventually fail closed, switching the capacitors in will cause the contacts to eventually weld together. To alleviate this issue you can simply add a 10K resistor (to trickle charge the caps) and a 100mH or so inductor (to prevent the resistor from affecting your noise tests) in series between the COM and NO/NC relay contact, this will keep the capacitors charged so the arcing isn't too bad.

Wanted to mention this as I've ran into similar problems doing similar tests before. Love what you're doing here.
