After learning about Piet Mondriaan, and his familiar love of blues, I was inspired
by his The Gray Tree. That inspiration partly drove the creation of this drawing,
though most inspiring is Mondriaan’s later approach to art. I forgot to give simple
shapes and primary colors the appreciation they deserve but maybe now will
strive to treat them better.
